Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Course

This Certificate in Counselling course is delivered by the Institute of Counselling and accredited by the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).

SCQF Level 8 (2nd Year BA/BSc Level) 20 CREDIT POINTS

Summary details of content:
Students study and apply the following counselling models: Psychodynamic, behavioural, person-centred, cognitive, and pastoral approaches. You will also receive training in the counselling process, develop the core counselling qualities and skills, and apply the key skills of The Skilled Helper (Egan). Developing a professional and ethical practice is at the heart of this certificate course.

Assessment strategy:
Assessment is knowledge and skills based (Case Study Analysed – 4000 words).The client can be real or role play. The tutor will support you to complete the assignment.

Duration:
This is a 6 month one module certificate course and is studied off campus online . UK and International students can enrol on this course at any time. University Credit:
The course is accredited at SCQF Level 8 (2nd Year BA/BSc Level) and is worth 20 credits. Academic accreditation of the course may be used towards the award of an appropriate University of the West of Scotland BSc/BSc (Hons.) degree. You can also transfer your course credit to other participating Universities
