Certificate in Spiritual Care (UWS)

This Certificate in Spiritual Care course is delivered by the Institute of Counselling and accredited by the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).

SCQF Level 8 (2rd Year BA/BSc Level) 20 CREDIT POINTS

Summary details of content:
This course is designed to help students understand and apply their knowledge of the following topics: the rise and development of spirituality; models and methods of spiritual care; developing spiritual and pastoral care; spiritual, religious and ethical issues; assessment methods of spirituality and the importance of maintaining a professional practice.

Assessment strategy:
Assessment is knowledge and skills based (Case Study Analysed – 4000 words).The client can be real or role play. The tutor will support you to complete the assignment.

Duration:
This is a 6 month one module certificate course and is studied off campus online . UK and International students can enrol on this course at any time.

University Credit:
The course is accredited at SCQF Level 8 (2rd Year BA/BSc Level) and is worth 20 credits. Academic accreditation of the course may be used towards the award of an appropriate University of the West of Scotland BSc/BSc (Hons.) degree. You can also transfer your course credit to other participating Universities.
