Certificate in Christian Counselling

I think you would enjoy this course and find that it enriches your previous counselling courses and it will give you a deeper Christian perspective on the role of counselling in a helping ministry. It has not academic accreditation but you will receive a certificate for the IoC which has a substantial track record as not for profit Christian training provider.

There are no prior requirements for taking this course and I am sure you will enjoy and learn a great deal form it.

This course is not one of our accredited courses and although the knowledge and understanding it offers may support further learning it will not contribute towards the academic points needed for a degree.

There are other courses offered by the Institute which can count towards a degree in an associated topic e.g. Course 5000N (Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling - accredited through Glasgow Caledonian University. Any of our courses accredited through the University of the West of Scotland.

Our advice however if you are looking to complete a Degree is to research which one is most appealing to you and if you intend taking one of our accredited courses prior to this; ensure it is in an associated subject and discuss your plan with the university of your choice to see how it would fit with your chosen degree course.

The normal time frame for these courses would be 6 months (based on 6-7 hours each week.) There is 150 hours of study/assessment in each course. We do however allow up to 1 year for completion.
