The course materials includes comprehensive course notes (knowledge and practice), and consist of 6 Units, 12 practice portfolio activities and 2 tutor marked assignments, supplemented with suggested background reading to provide insights into the skills and techniques used by professional counsellors. You will be able to observe and become conversant with many of the practical techniques employed by professional counsellors.

Competency Portfolio

Students will be supported by a work- based mentor or colleague in developing a competency portfolio of their counselling skills.
