Hello, I have finished my BSc in Psychology and am currently an MSc student in Health Psychology, but would like to learn more in Counselling and CBT, as this was not touched upon in my degree. Is this certificate and the diploma CBT accredited and can it be used in practice? Thank you very much. I am highly interested in taking this course! Best, B.

To give you the education which will offer most benefit you will require to consider our courses in counselling and our courses in CBT.
Within counselling I would advise that you consider our Course 4000 which offers a comprehensive coverage through completion of a 4 module set (Introduction to Counselling, Grief and Bereavement Counselling, Couple and Family Counselling and Crisis Counselling) leading to the award of a Diploma in Counselling from the Institute. In addition you will be awarded a certificate of continuous professional devel;opment for your portfolio and professional accreditation by The National Counselling Society which plays a significant role in all aspects of UK counselling.
Course 5000N is our academic equivalent to Course 4000 and offers similar information but with more academic rigour allowing each module to be accredited at 30 level 9 (3rd year BA/BSc) points by Glasgow Caledonian University. Giving a total of 120 points for the completed Diploma.
To cover CBT please look at our Diploma in CBT (course 2000) This involves taking 2 modules (course 150 and 151) Course 151 is designed to be relevant and practical. It applies CBT to a number of key areas. These include: Couple and Family Relationships, Depression, Anxiety (and Phobias), Anger and Violence, Pastoral and Spiritual issues. This is complemented by course 151 which takes the sudent further into the techniques and strategies employed in CBT.
Similar to Counselling we have an academic equivalent (Course UD 1000) which offers 20 level 8 (2nd year BA/BSc) for each of its two modukles accredited through the University of the West of Scotland.
Please telephone one of our advisors who would be happy discuss and give advice on any of the courses mentioned.
