Hi, I am a qualified counsellor working towards accreditation and member of the BACP.
I am looking to work in IAPT which requires a CBT diploma.
I understand the course title makes this answer seem obvious, however, is this a relevant diploma that would be recognised in IAPT or is it more for CPD purposes?
I think to be recommended for IAPT, the course would need to be accredited, is this correct? I am guessing this is because they base accreditation on hours worked in that field and as this is distance learning, I am unsure whether it qualifies.
Many thanks

The course 2000 is a continued Professional Development course which will take around 150 hours to complete for each of the two modules (300 in total)
You may wish to look at our academically accredited version of this course UD1000. Each of the two modules offer 20 level 8 SCQF points (second year degree level) accredited through the University of the West of Scotland. This course takes around 200 hours for completion of each module (400 in total) due to the additional assessment work required.
Please consult your potential employer to check whether they would be happy to accept either course.
