The UWS has 5 Practice Activities of around 200 words each, 3 Assignments of around 500 words each and a final Tutor marked Assignment of 4000 words - the non accredited course has 5 assignments of 500 words each.

The lessons are just the natural breaks in the materials and you will be asked to complete assigmments relative to the lesson  - these will be by e-mail to your tutor as you work through your course with feedback being given in the same way.

This course contains 200 hours study/assessment work as on completion the student is awarded 20 SCQF points at level 8 (second year degree) Normally this can be completed in 6 months allowing for 7/8 hours each week. Should the student have time available this can be completed more quickly.

There is no strict limited to completion and we allow tutelage of up to 12 months within the fee for the course.

The main difference between the two courses is the assessment process. The information covered is very similar.

UW400 has a more rigourous assessment process and as such will take on average 200 hours to complete as opposed to course 620 which takes around 150 hours.

As you have said course UW400 is accredited an gains the student 20 SCQF points at level 8 (2nd year Degree) which may be used towards a full degree. Completion of the certificate has no designated letters.
