Dr Murphy made my study for diploma in Couple and Family Counselling really interesting, she is very honest and approachable. I really looked forward for all her comments and do take them on board and will implement them in my ministerial role. I just want to say thank you for helping me to see my hidden potentials and to see situations and individuals from a different point of view to which I formerly held. Mobrae

The online offering of the course is a good initiative as it gives persons who work in areas that may involve counselling the opportunity to learn and become "professional" in their interaction when necessary. For me the study at your pace is good especially as I had some personal challenges along the way. The concept and delivery is encouraging as you do not get overwhelmed - it is as though you are in a classroom with a tutor.

Great course. I loved it! I know I'm lucky to have done it as others haven't yet. I liked following Barry's case and gradually adding more and more to my assignments. I felt invested in the family.

Course provided exact information I wanted to learn and was fit for the purpose I wanted. It was invaluable to study the first module - Counselling to learn the models and purpose of counselling which I was then able to relate to the bereavement part. The course challenged my understanding and the way I would respond. I have learnt to read between lines, to consider what peopel are not physically saying, not just to rely on the physical word spoken.

The course materials were good, it's a massive subject but all the main theories were covered and I thought using case studies helped. I

Certificate in CBT 2 (Credit rated at SCQF level 8)
I liked the structure of the course. The material was interessting and was presented very clear, and the set-up in the folder was inviting to learn. I liked that there were colourful graphics to enhance the learning experience. A great benefit is that each stutdent is assigned a personal tutor to help them through the coure. Marie Murphy was my personal tutor, she was very helpful and supportive with any questions and concerns I had. Her feedback on my written work was always encouraging and uplifting. She certainly has a great gift in tutoring and I am very grateful that Marie was assigned to me. The course content is clear and in depth. I got a good overview of CBT in general and about specific disorders and different methods used. What I was missing a little is that the content of the course material is still the same as fifteen years ago. I would have liked to see more of the newer approaches or new methods that have evolved and have enhanced CBT since then. But that is my personal preference. Over all it is a great course and I can really recommend it to others. A great benefit is that it is accredited by the ACCPH which is internationally recognised.
