This course examines the issues involved in Grief and Bereavement and is normally taken as part of a wider course or by a student with previous experience in this area. It looks at the role of the bereavement counsellor in explaining and helping with; stages of grief, tasks of mourning, grieving rituals, a child and adolescent view of death, complicated grief, counselling the dying and other common issues.  

This course will teach you Christian knowledge, skills and practice as recommended by the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC). You will be able to use these counselling skills in various settings.
